Back to Work
Hello everyone! This newsletter arrives amid a tourist season that has been so far at the pits. But wait! I'm starting to see a dim light glistening at the end of the tunnel, and gradually but surely, I'm receiving some late summer and autumn reservations. Allelujah!
Under the endless lockdown regime, I dedicated my heaps of spare time focusing on classifying and photographing wildflowers and, of course, writing. The loneliness was inspiring enough to complete and publish a couple of books that helped me sail through the solitary days and turned out to be remarkably self-enlightening and rewarding Then came the autumn Extra Virgin Olive Oil production that fortunately was an absolute blast and helped me reconnect to the Homo Sapiens' world! Unmistakably, when the time comes, I will once again be picking, pressing, and delivering. I shall contact you... Hey! I'm rambling again! One thing at a time!
Please click on the buttons below for both Kindle and Paperback editions of my latest and to read some fun reviews!
But now it's time to look forward, the pandemic looks like its  being quashed and we are all eager and raring to get going and claim our lives back! I'll be conducting in full swing the romantic Chianti wine tours and the classic very private off the beaten path Contrada/Siena visit. The Bruco/Caterpillar headquarters that is now enriched by the ancient flag  I obtained from the Metropolitan Museum of New York (bless them!).
Fattoria Tregole
Who hasn't been sitting on their hands are Fattoria Tregole's owners Edith and Sophie, with whom I've been collaborating for a decade. Mother and daughter have taken advantage of the forced hiatus and, without any yabbi-yabba's, have been busy improving and expanding the estate. The property has been embellished with scores of new vines, a restored barn (for cooking classes and lunches), and some upgraded guest rooms and apartments. The cellar equipment has been refreshed with a contrast of brand new high-tech equipment, traditional oak vats, and even some new wines added to the standard Chianti Classico production, including a unique revolutionary white Sangiovese!
Now that we are all vaccinated, we can't wait to host you, your loved ones, your friends and, of course, "bore" you with my anecdotal spiel on local history and traditions. You can choose to stay at Tregole for a few days, visit me on the premises for a tour, or as always, can have one of my partners pick you up in Siena or Florence or wherever. The important thing is that we reconnect!

For information regarding Fattoria Tregole, you can browse the new site, where you can also safely order their wines and have them delivered directly to your doorstep. Don't hesitate to contact Edith, Sophie or me directly!

...and now the "usual" fun test to see how many of you have reached the end of my newsletter...this is a pic of the collateral effects I endured after the jab...Ciao!!!
